The all-electric Chevrolet Bolt EV can now go farther than ever before with an increased range of up to 565km on a single charge. An increase of 45km on previous models, the Bolt EV is a practical everyday solution for environmentally conscious drivers. First debuted at Dubai International Motor Show 2017, the Bolt EV was one of the most highly anticipated models ever from Chevrolet and the 2020 model will build on this customer excitement, driving further adoption across the Middle East.

Listening to customer feedback, Chevrolet’s battery engineering team invested in research and development to achieve this remarkable range increase. By making small but impactful changes to the cell chemistry, they improved the energy of the cell electrodes, unlocking more range. This innovative thinking allowed the team to improve range without needing to change the physical battery pack and the way it integrates into the vehicle structure.

“The Chevrolet Bolt EV, as a nameplate, is truly driving the future,” commented Farah Amhaz, Head of Brand – Chevrolet Middle East. “As we look to a smarter, more sustainable future, the 2020 Bolt EV is an integral vehicle in bringing our future of Zero Crashes, Zero Emissions, Zero Congestion to the region.”

A game changer in the electric vehicle space, the Bolt EV is the first fully electric car from Chevrolet. Promising worry-free range and fun-to-drive characteristics, the Bolt EV has been changing customer perceptions of driving electric since it hit roads in the UAE in 2018.

The 2020 Bolt EV will arrive to select markets in the Middle East including the UAE, Kuwait, Jordan and Lebanon by the end of 2019.
